Jane: We are committed to producing quality, luxe, timeless pieces with a total commitment to environmental, animal and human welfare. And our viscose comes from sustainably managed forests to ensure that biodiversity is protected. We work solely with organic cotton and organic linen to avoid the negative impacts of chemical pesticides and insecticides. Nearly all of our materials are custom made with mills who operate at the highest standards of environmental management from water to energy use and who work with us with sustainable raw materials, many of which we source all the way back to the farm level.įor example, we source our wool exclusively from two ethical farms in Tasmania, with whom we have close personal partnerships. From a design and production angle, we work exclusively with the best ateliers in the world, all of whom are committed to, and have verified, that they pay a living wage supporting sustainable livelihoods for their staff. I’m in love with the Exaggerated Bow Blouse in our organic cotton poplin, it’s romantic yet minimal. Jane: We want to provide our customer with an element of fantasy through silhouettes and color, breathing life into her every day whether it’s meetings or a cocktail with friends over Zoom. Another Tomorrow was created in response to the values of the curious, compassionate global citizen seeking elevated, thoughtful design, and tools for living one’s values. Vanessa: We are all part of an integrated, universal society. As a result, we ended up creating almost entirely custom fabrics, sourced in many cases all the way back to the farm. There was a huge disconnect between the rhetoric around sustainability and what was actually available that met both ethics and esthetics. The hardest part of the journey was building our supply chains. The seed of the idea goes back to my childhood, living in small artistic, academic communities in the Midwest, where I was exposed by my parents to the Whole Earth Catalogue and the broader movement of responsible living and innovation through design.ĭespite intending to become an architect, I ended up in finance, focused on emerging markets, and it was only when I was on a sabbatical intended to focus on sustainable investing that I learned about the huge impact the fashion industry has on the planet and felt a deep sense of urgency to be part of the change. Vanessa: Another Tomorrow was born from my desire to create a brand in service of both women and the planet - to offer women the ability to look incredible, feel incredible, and make a positive impact through supporting environmentally and socially responsible production with a collection of the highest quality and design.
